Evan and Caitlin

I wish Kristin and her family still lived close to us, because the kids had so much fun playing together while they were in town. My cousin Kristin has 2 adorable kids. Evan is 3 1/2 and Caitlin will be 2 in June. They moved to Arizona last summer because her husband Danny got a job offer there. Kristin and her family came to visit over Easter and they were here for a couple of weeks, and while we were not able to get together for Easter, Grandma had us over for dinner one night.

It was so entertaining to watch the kids play. The last time they were together, Connor was too little to really play with them, so it was like seeing them together for the first time. It was hard to get very many pictures of them together because they are constantly on the go, but I will share what I have...

Here are the kids last Easter
What a difference a year makes!

Happy Easter!

Spoiled much? In all fairness though not ALL of these presents were from us. Some of them were from the Grandparents too, but it's safe to say that Connor had a very nice Easter. He had a blast playing with all his new toys Easter morning.

Here he is repairing his chair with the tool set that Daddy got him

Coloring

Catching bubbles

Playing with playdoh

So excited!
After Connor's nap we headed out to Aunt Angie's and had a delicious dinner. Then Connor got to partake in his very first Easter egg hunt at Angie's. Easter egg hunts at Angie's are a big deal. She lives on 10 acres so they usually have a big outdoor Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately the crummy weather prevented us from having the traditional outdoor Easter egg hunt, so the moved it to the basement.

Connor kind of got the idea of hunting for Easter eggs. I'm sure he will really be into it next year!

After a fun busy day, Connor had enough Easter and was ready to go home. I think he was asleep before we even got out of Angie's driveway!

Chips!

I was telling the girls a cute story about Connor the other day and Carolyn said I should share it on my blog, so here you go Carolyn.

So Connor has tried a few chips here and there, and of course he loves them. The other day I was letting him play in the pantry while I was fixing dinner. He grabbed a bag of chips, not knowing what it was until he actually opened the bag. When he got the bag opened though he got so excited and let out a squeal of delight and yelled "Chips!" with a huge smile on his face. It was a wonderful discovery for him and it was so cute that I had to let him have a chip. Plus, he said the word chips! A new word is always exciting!

Spring is here....

for today at least. You never know with Missouri weather, one day it can be sunny and 80, and the next day it can be 30 and rainy. But we took advantage of the nice weather today and played on the swing set that our family friend Alice lent to us. Connor loves the outdoors, so we are very thankful to have something for him to climb and play on outside. Here are a few pictures of him playing on the swing set...

Connor has been learning how to eat with utensils at daycare. Tonight, he fed himself applesauce, and he did a really good job! It was so cute because we were trying out different spoons on him, and he was alternating each bite between the two spoons.

Connor also got to pet a cute little puppy today. Donna stopped by with Lauren's new puppy. She is so cute and Connor loved petting her. No, this does not mean we will be getting a puppy for Connor. We are cat people!

It's About Time!

I know, I know, I should have started this blog 14 months ago after Connor was born, but better late than never, right? I have been meaning to start a blog about Connor for awhile for many reasons; so I can have something to look back on to remember the special little moments, to keep everyone up to date on the happenings in Connor's life, and of course to brag about our cute little man! After reading in my niece Debra's blog tonight and seeing that she is blogging about Connor, I figured it was about time that I start my own blog. I will leave you with a few pictures. A few old ones, and a few new ones to get you up to date. Then I will do my best to post often, so you can see all the cute, funny, and crazy things that Connor is doing.
